Anyone know of a way of setting up a simple data refresh in excel online

My business uses BI semantic models, so to access the data in excel I have a data connection that pulls data directly from the semantic model into Excel. The model is refreshed every morning, so currently I need to go into all my excel sheets refresh the connection using data refresh.

I've tried to create a power automate that refresh my data connection on a daily basis with no luck. Such a simple thing to do manually, open the file click data refresh, any ideas?

Try this, which you could use in a scheduled flow:

Create an Office script to refresh the data in the spreadsheet. Be sure to save the script as an osts file in your OneDrive.

The default folder for this is Documents/Office Scripts

Use the action Run script from SharePoint library to choose the workbook and script.

You will need to check to make sure the data really refreshed, but I got no errors with this method.

Here is the script:
