Accessing sql data for analytics

I wanted to know how to access sql server data to generate analytics in power apps. Anyone has any suggestions?

    Power Apps have a SQL connector, Connect to SQL Server from Power Apps - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn

     

    If I may ask why Power Apps for analytics and not Power BI?
