Need help using Dyn365 F&O connector to Update a record

I am having trouble updating a record in Finance, specificaly the entity AssetMaintenanceWorkOrderTablesV2. I am providing the required Id's and keys to reference the correct record, but when I run the flow the following error appears: An error has occurred. update not allowed for field 'WorkOrderTypeId'
clientRequestId: d1efcd08-ba1d-4893-9dc7-f1c7630a6b90

As you can see in the picture, I am successfully Getting the same record, but after that I try to update that record it won't let me because it says that I cannot change that value (neither leave it black because it is mandatory), yet I am giving or providing the same exact value as the original.

    Dear B,

I have encountered similar things and one of the reasons for this could be that there is a business logic tied to that field in D365. If you update the same field in D365 manually, do pop-ups appear asking you if you want to have changes applied elsewhere or if updates need to be made to related fields? If so, then you are blocked by inherent business logic. You could try and change such a field via 'Power Automate Desktop', but not sure if it is worth the efforts.

Another reason could be (considering it seems to be an ID field), that the field requires a logical 'sequential' number/step. I have had this before ... but in the end could not find out what the 'next' value should be as the number sequence was blind to me (it was not as easy as last record +1 (or 2 or 3 or ...).

    Hope this helps,

    Koen

    Hello Koen,

Thank you very much for your answer. After changing the lifecycle state I have to press an 'ok' button that must trigger a series of business events. So far I have discovered that maybe the connector that I should use is the one called 'Execute action' and search for the specific action related to updating a lifecycle state.

    Regards
