Flows Sharepoint Connection not working

I read several threads regarding flows and sharepoint, and found not a single satisfying answer.

My flow(s) cannot connect to either locally installed sharepoint 2016, nor sharepoint online sites, lists or folders.

the user using / configuring the sharepoint sites / servers is admin for both.

in flows,

flows shows "BadGateway" errors, no matter what adress I use.

this happens on all sharepoint related triggers and actions.

opening the sites in any browser works just fine.

also. using a lokal Gateway works fine as well. so it has to be the cloud-specific access thats bugging out.

could someone shed a light on this please ?

thanks in advance

If you are trying to attach to an On-premises SharePoint server then the only way to do it is using a gateway.  You can't attach directly to an on-premises server via the URL alone.

    Hi @LDenckert ,

I have encountered similar problems before, but after a while, this situation no longer exists. The SharePoint Site Address can also be selected directly from the drop-down list instead of by clicking Enter custom value.

You could try to solve the problem by trying to update the connection. This seems to be a temporary problem.

    Best Regards,

Have you tried deleting the connection from Flow to SharePoint and re-connecting? Go to Data -> Connections -> then click the 3 dots next to your SharePoint connection and click Delete. Then click the new connection link at the top of the page.

I tried both: copy & paste from adressbar of browser.

manually typing it in. neither worked.

I also chose "Enter Custom Value" before trying both.

it only works ever since I installed a local Gateway. now it works fine, but it´s not the final solution, but a messy workaround, which is ok for testing, but not for deployment.

Are you just typing the url into the blank when it asks for the site?  Or are you selecting from the dropdown?  If you wnat to manully type in the address because it doesn't show in the dropdown make sure you use the Enter Custom Value entry in the dropdown to manually add the address.  For the address to add you can cut and paste it our of the address bar in the browser after you log into the site.  Just trim off anything after the site name itself.
