Hello community,
i am having issues connecting the Copilot Studio Bot with our Sharepoint Data.
I tried every guideline together with our Admin but we don´t get it running.
Generative answers with Search and summarize - Microsoft Copilot Studio | Microsoft Learn
Configure user authentication with Microsoft Entra ID - Microsoft Copilot Studio | Microsoft Learn
Configure user authentication - Microsoft Copilot Studio | Microsoft Learn
To be mentioned is that when i use the Teams and PowerApps only Security Setting i get the answers from the SharePoint Site but as soon as we switch to manual authentication i don´t get a result and also no error message.
Is there a way to debug or check where the Problem exactly is?
When switching the setting to manual the bot asks for authentication and opens a popup with a number i have to prompt into the bot and then i should be authenticated!?
So then i ask my question which gets a response in the only Teams security settings but does not get a response when in manual setting, but also no error message?!
Here are 2 Screenshots from the Copilot Studio Authentication setting and the Permission setting in Azure.
We also tried to leave the Token exchange URL plank, but does not work either :(.
Any ideas or Tipps are very well appreciated 🙂
thx in adv.
Manfred
Here is a troubleshooting guide for Gen Answers over SharePoint: Generative answers don't return a response - Microsoft Copilot Studio | Microsoft Learn
Thanks this saved my day, I was following this page which did not mention this
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/configuration-authentication-azure-ad
Which doc did you find this in?
I figured out my issue. In Azure, the Grant Admin Consent delegation was not applied to ALL the API/Permissions. Without that, the permission wasn't working completely.
at the bottom of the authentication in Copilot Studio Authentication
here you have to add: profile openid Sites.Read.All Files.Read.All
Under authentication
I am facing a similar issue, but I'm unclear on what you mean. Where is the "scopes" setting in Copilot?
That´s it. Thx much!
Was kinda confused with the Copilot Guideline where only profile and openid was mentioned as scope, but i have seen now that the guideline has been updated with a prominent infobox 🙂
thx again
br
You are missing Files.Read.All and Sites.Read.All from the "scopes" setting in your copilot.
