Send mail to manager depending on selected department

Hi all,

Probably, i'm overlooking the obvious. So let's give this a try:

I have a Sharepoint list, HR modifies employee information.

Depending on the department they select a mail is send to the manager of that department.

At this moment, i have the names and mailadresses of these managers hardcoded in my flows condition wise.

However, if there is a change of manager in a department, my flow is not accurate anymore.

What would be the best way to manage departments and managers in the MS365 ecosystem so this info is broadly available and  managed. Single point of information management? And, the question; how to get this in my flows?

thanks in advance,

JB

@JohanB123 Ideally you'd use the Person column in your SP list to assign the manager to each employee. You can also use the Manager field in the user's M365 profile.

Can you clarify what you mean when you say "how to get this in my flows?".

To use the dynamic content from this column you can select the appropriate dynamic content from the dynamic content menu. When you use a person column in your SP List there will be a few dynamic content options to select from.
