Check SharePoint List against names of people in Excel

Hi,

I haven't done much with Power Automate yet so still learning. I have created a PowerApp that sends data to a SharePoint List, it is user data that has to be submitted daily by each user. What I would like to do is create a flow that checks that each user has submitted data Monday to Friday and then if not it sends an email to me with the users that haven't submitted data each day. I thought maybe it could check against an excel column of names or maybe another SharePoint List.

Is this even possible with a flow and if so how would be best to achieve this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

@Phil3612 You can use a Filter Array action to compare your Excel table data against a SP List.

To learn more about how to use the Filter Array action, please refer to this YT Tutorial: Are you using the Microsoft Power Automate Filter Array Action wrong?

In this video tutorial I’ll show you 3 practical ways to use the Filter Array action and how to use it properly.

    1️⃣ Cross-Referencing Data

    2️⃣ Filtering by Key

    3️⃣ Substring Matching

Did you know that the Condition action has a limit of 10 conditions? Although it might look like the Filter Array action can only accept one condition—this is not true. By using the advanced mode you can enter multiple conditions into a Filter Array action with an expression.

Thanks @creativeopinion I finally managed to get the result I need, which is a list of email addresses from a SharePoint person field that was not in another SharePoint list, i.e. it compares one to the other. I now need to send an email to everyone in the output of that filter array. I have tried this using Apply to each loop with compose etc. but keep getting failures. Is there something specific I need to do when getting data back from a person field. I don't need any fancy HTML in the email, just the standard text is fine.

Any ideas on how to do this would be appreciated
