Administer Desktop Flows

In the CoE inventory we found some desktop flows we want to delete. These flows are owned by an orphaned user. How can we achieve this? Or is there a way to take over the ownership and then delete them?

I have the same question (0)

I think the only solution is to lets the Admin of the Environment take a look, take it over and re-assign ownership of said flows.

We've had this problem with flows people made and then quit the company - not everybody did/wanted to transfer ownership of their flows. So our Admin stepped in and did his magic (I don't know what he did exactly as it's not part of my paygrade, but it worked).

    Best regards

On the docs page https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/desktop-flows/manage they mention:

"Administrators of an environment are co-owners of all dekstop flows created in this environment and can't be removed."

Yeah, but can you - as Admin and thus co-owner - re-assign the flow to an other user account?

Presumed the admin and the flow owner both have aktive desktop flow licenses (attended or unattended), the admin can see the flow under his own "Desktop Flows" menu https://make.powerautomate.com/environments/Default-ENV-GUID/uiflows. From there the admin can assign co-ownership to any other user. The original user remains owner. If this is unwanted, I'd recommend to save a copy of the desktop flow and delete the original one.

Note: If the users or the admin have no active desktop flow license (power automate free isn't sufficient), the flows won't appear on the page mentioned above.
