Creating a backup of a SharePoint folder and renaming it

Hello,

I am trying to create a backup of a SharePoint folder but I have trouble doing so because I do not understand how to rename the copy of my folder.

I used the "Copy Folder" in the SharePoint part and chose my origin and destination path but I cannot find any way to rename a folder at all.

My goal is as follows:

The folder "Data" contains five Excel files, and I want to create a backup of it every week in the "Backups" folder (both Data and Backups are at the root of the "Documents" folder of SharePoint). This backup folder needs to be renamed "Data - 05/23/2024" when created.

Any help to understand the renaming part is appreciated !

Thanks

    Hi @v-yetonggu-msft,

    Thank you for the suggestion.

I followed the instructions there and I cannot seem to get it to work. Please see below the components of my automation - minus the confidential elements such as SharePoint name/folders.2024-05-23 14_41_42-Microsoft Power Automate and 16 more pages - Work - Microsoft Edge.png

Did I do anything wrong in any of these ? The syntax seems a bit complicated even with instructions so I might have missed something.

    Thanks for the help

Read this article and learn how to properly backup single or multiple folders on SharePoint.
