Error message after approval, no access possible

Hello everybody,

in our company I created a simple vacation planning based on a Sharepoint list and using Flow for the approval process. It has been running without major errors since a few months.

Now a supervisor received the following error message after trying to approve an employees vacation request (translated in English):

"You cannot access this at the moment. Your login was successful but does not meet the criteria to access this resource. You might be signing in from a browser, app, or location that has been restricted by your administrator. Sign out and sign in with a different account."

The flow itself doesn't show any error message and is still running which makes my troubleshooting more complicated. This is the first time I have this kind of error. The other supervisors don't have any problems.

It is also unusual that the approval mail looks different than usual:

Usually the mail looks like this:

Would be glad if someone could give me a hint about this issue.

Best regards,

Pero

    Hi @DamoBird365

thank you very much for your response. Currently I'm waiting for the affected supervisor to come back from holiday which will be on the 12th of April so I can ask a few questions regarding this issue (and probably carry out some testing).  I will catch up on the hint with the IT environment.

Regarding the looks of the approval mail I found another topic saying that this issue could come from the old "Start an approval" module. Therefore I changed this to "Start and wait for an approval" in my Flow. Currently having no problems.

I will update this topic as soon as I have more information.

    Best regards,

    Pero

    Hi @Anonymous

I would ask your IT if they have any conditional access policies in place.  Could they have been accessing the environment from outside of your employers network?  IT can implement policies based on location, device, etc amongst other things.  If they are using the device outside of this environment, they will receive a message very similar to the one you have described, basically they've logged on succesfully but azure has been configured to block you.

    See here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/conditional-access/overview
