Converting to HTML to PDF and add to a SharePoint List item

I know this is a subject that comes up all the time but i still can not find a solution to my issue and i have tried lots of different ways:

Basically what i am trying to do is submit a Leave form (Microsoft Forms), create the responses into a PDF, get it approved via Approvals and add it to a SharePoint list as a PDF attachment. The flow works but with no PDF attachment but a HTML attachment so the conversion states it works but it has not converted. The below is my steps just around the conversion as i think that it is where the issue lies but open to discussion from the community.

I have updated the Covert File Using path step a few times including:

* Removing the html extension and says it cannot be found

* Tried the Convert File Preview Power Automate step

* I checked the location of the file and it is still a html file so no conversion has occurred.

Any Assistance would be greatly appreciated as this seems to be a road blocker for a fair few automation tasks i want to implement using Power Automate.

Update - I also have been testing a Word attachment via the form it is not opening so it is getting corrupted upon adding it to SharePoint so now i have 2 issues that i need assistance with. 😞

    Hi @matty2000

After checking, I believe the previous part has no problems, and only below three actions would be impacting this issue.

I think for the “Convert file using path” action, you can remove the original file name and replace it with the dynamic content Name directly from the “Create file” action. And this flow is working fine for me in this way.

    Hi Bof,

Thanks for the information as i think your solution works but i am still getting catch on the Convert file using path step as it is not finding the resource again. Error message below:

Flow steps unmodified from previous post.

Can you maybe share you whole flow with me that works so i can compare as would it be the naming of my files or permissions on the OneDrive?

    Happy to discuss further,

    With Thanks,

    Matty

    Hi @matty2000 ,

I create a same flow as you mentioned in description and it is exactly working fine from my side. You only need to re-select below two dynamic content from within the “Add attachment 2” action from your side. You were choosing the wrong file name and file content and you need to select the related dynamic content generated by the “Convert file using path” action from your side.
