How to replace characters in a string using function in PAD

Hi,

I have JSON as a string in a text field. I need to replace around 20 fields in the json where the 20 fields values are present in an excel document. I have read the excel and I know there is an action called replace text to replace the values in a string. But, I like to replace the values using function which is present in the cloud.

Does anyone have any idea how to use replace function inside PAD?

Regards,

@murlimanohar_k

    Hi @murlimanohar_k

    What did you exactly mean by "using function which is present in the cloud"?

    If you want to do it in PAD then you cannot use Cloud functions here.

    If you want to Replace the text within Excel then use

    If the replacement has to be done within the string itself then use

    Hi @VJR ,

    Yes, the implementation is that I need to replace around 20 field values in a string and to do so I need to use around 20 replace text actions for this.

    Instead of using this actions, is there any possible way to use function so that we can complete the process in a single action.

    I guess you want to replace 20 different fields with 20 different values in a single string or something like that? Don't think it's possible with any of the available Text actions, but you can always go for these:

    Not a scripting guru, but there's has to be a way to use one of these languages.
