Date in SP correct but is wrong in flow email

I have a calculated column in my SP list which is calculating the end date (5 business days from the approval date).

In the SP list the date reads, 18/3/20 but when I put the dynamic content field in the email flow it comes out as  1900-01-5T13:30:00Z.

Why would this be picking up a completely different date from what is actually showing in the SP column?

    Hi @DTTN,

How do you configure the EndDate? I tested on my side but not find the same issue.

I set the EndDate column as below:

    Annotation 2020-03-12 151440.png

    Flow configure:

    Annotation 2020-03-12 151439.png

     Run result:

    Annotation 2020-03-12 151441.png

If you could share some screenshot of the Flow run, it will be better for us to assist you.

    Hi there,

This is the formula that I have used to calculate the end date. It's different to yours as I need it to add 5 business days (not just 5 days).

In the actual list, the column shows/has calculated the correct date but for some reason it doesn't pick it up in the flow.

I have just realised that your formula is correct (I was over complicating it after reading things online)!

However it doesn't appear to have fixed the problem with the date in the flow.

I tried it with your formula and in the email it still says    1900-01-05T13:30:00Z

    Hi @DTTN,

I confirmed my Flow, it could return the correct Date, could you please tell me the Approval Date column format? Is it have any formula?

    Please see the image below.

The data for the second approver details are coming from the response details from the 'Start and wait for approval' flow.

I have changed the formula to match yours for the End Date and the second approver column is the standard date and time format but it still comes up with a strange date.

    Hi @DTTN,

It's so weird, I reproduced the first Flow to update the "Second Approver Date" column if an approval request responded, and the EndDate column is a calculated column that added 7 days based on the SAD column, I couldn't reproduce the issue, did I missed something?

I guess the send email action is the following step after you update the item, right? So, after you update the item, the dynamic content in the email is still an old item, not the last version, right? If my guess is correct and you want to get the right EndDate, you should add Get item action after you update the item to get the column updated.

Yes you are correct - after I update the item the next action is send email.

I tried to put the get item action in as well but it still comes up with the wrong date.

Can you please check if I am using this function correctly?Flow.png

    Hi @DTTN,

Please move the Get item action out of the loop, then put the bottom of the loop, then these dynamic content in Email should from Get item action: Flow.png
