Hi Guys,

In my Microsoft Forms, I have text field asking responders to fill out their name. If they accidentally misspelled their name; how to auto-correct it or notify them of the mistake?

Also, in my form settings, I have "checked" the

Record name
Only people from my organization

However, can some respondents play a prank by using his/her phone to fill out a response by keying somebody else's name?

How to prevent people from misusing the form this way?

Is there a Flow technique to tackle this?

Hi there. So, if the form can only be filled out by people in your organization, then their email address should come over with the response details. You could use that with a "Get User Profile" action to get their Full Name (or Display Name) and not even have to ask for it on the form.

Just a thought. Either way, keep us posted.

You can make use of "RespondentEmailAddress", use HTTP request action which will call Graph API to get the User details.
BTW, when you enable "Only people from my organization" you will get the respondent details by default.

that’s a nice suggestion. I should remove the field for asking their name.

I have a question though. The main purpose I need the responders name is to address him or her in the acknowledge email.

in the “send email v3” I tried the dynamic content and searched for “get user profile”.
unfortunately I didn’t get any results to choose from. Is there any other missing steps I am missing?

thanks for the pointers about http. I will try it and get back.

Please bare with this newbie here. Just a sanity check on what in trying to do. basically I have a “form” that I want respondent to fill. say about 5 fields and an attachment field. When he/her submits the form I want 2 actions to happen.

1. Log data into a spreadsheet (not sure which one is better saving in SharePoint or one drive)

2. Flow to Send an email With the attachments he/her sent on the form.
Can this email be “From” the respondent “to” me.

Hi there - So, the form responses are automatically saved if you want to export them manually. But if you wanted to write the data to a separate sheet, that is totally possible.

Because Power Automate will use your credentials for the email connector, the emails will either come from you or Power Automate (depending on the connector). For spammy reasons, I think, you can't really change the "From". I could be wrong, but that's what I've seen so far.
