Flow suddenly started failing

Hi!

6 days ago, a flow I created that actually worked on daily basis, started failing.

When testing the flow, it fails in "Add a row into a table", saying error details -

clientRequestId: 705e7919-f684-4e75-b40a-4a8622979184

The flow actually taking information that was submitted via MS Forms,

and adding it into excel file that is located in a SharePoint site.

When clicking on the "problematic" action, it says "Unauthorized".

I have not changed anything related to permissions,
the service account I'm using has edit permissions and is actually an owner of the SharePoint site.
I do not understand what suddenly changed, since other flows are working perfectly.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Does a user have your Excel file locked or checked out, maybe?

    Hi @Talko

Edit the flow. Select Add a row into a table. Click connections and re-authenticate your connection.

    Thanks

Hi, Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately it doesn't work either. It does not ask for re-authentication anywhere, not in connection nor in the flow step itself. Everything marked with V as if everything works fine, but it doesn't.

    Hi @Talko

What I meant is manually  add a new connection for the same step by click the add new connection option.

    Hi,

is this error happening with a new set of data also?

i would suggest you to build fast a new flow of just adding a dummy row to your table.

When you are building a new flow probably the connection will be re-established to the new state of your file.

If the new flow works, try again the triggers for the old one. If the new flow is also not working, it means that the connection to your excel file can no longer be established properly.

    Hi

This error occurs with a new set of data, and even if I rebuild the flow from scratch.

I can also tell that this error is only affecting the specific service account we are using to automate all the flows.

If I rebuild the exact same flow with my own account, it works like a charm.

Strange thing is, that the service account is actually site owner and has permissions to all files and folders.

Moreover, if I manually login to the service account and navigating to the excel file I'm trying to update in the aforementioned flow, it works like a charm.

It doesn't work only via flow action.

Have you checked that the account still has a valid Office license to use Excel?
