Azure AD User Update | Microsoft 365 Groups | Unable to @Mention Members in Teams)

Hi Friends, I built a Flow that creates and updates an Azure AD account based on form responses and everything works except I'm having problems being able to @mention the new member in Teams Channels. One of the Flow steps adds the user to a couple of groups based on the object ID. The fix is to manually remove / add them back into the groups and after some time I'm slowly able to @mention them in the chats.

As a test I manually created a user through the Exchange Admin Center and didn't run into any issues and was able to @mention them right away.

Has anyone experience this or have any advice?

Thank you!

You need to wait for various directories (that store various Azure AD info) to synchronise.

"a change might take one or two minutes (or sometimes much longer, depending on the load on the service) before replication fully occurs across all directories. Although the change might not be immediate, it will happen." Office 365 for IT Pros (2022 Edition): May 2022, page 328
