Hi all,

I would like to setup a flow that download some files from my ftp server to Google Drive

I don't understand how to recursively download files and recreate folder structure on drive

I haven't see the "Create Folder" action so, when I try to use "Create file" and there is no files, I recive a 404 error

Can someone help me to understand?

Many thanks in advance,

Jack

    Hi @jack,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow’s configuration?

Further, could you show a bit more about the error message?

The “Create folder” action is not supported in Google Drive. You could take a try with the following workaround:

    • Add a proper trigger, here I use Flow Button trigger.
    • Add “List files in folder” action, specify Folder.
    • Add “Apply to each”, Input parameter set to output of “List files in folder” action.
    • Within “Apply to each”, add “Get file content” action, File set to Id content. Then add “Create file” action of Google Drive, specify Folder path, File name set to dynamic Name content of “List files in folder”, File content set to output of “Get file content” action.

    Best regards,

    Kris

    Hi Kris,

    and thanks for the help!

I've tried your suggestions, but they don't work

When "Get file content" reach a folder and not a file, it breaks

    Two screen of my error:

    Hi @jack,

The "Create folder"action is not supported in Google Drive in Microsoft Flow currently, so we could not create folder in Google Drive with "Create file" action.

We could add a Condition within "Apply to each" action, left input box set to IsFolder content of "List files in folder" action, right input box set to true. In middle drop down, we choose is equal to. Within "If/no" branch of Condition, add “Get file content” action, File set to Id content. After then add “Create file” action of Google Drive, specify Folder path, File name set to dynamic Name content of “List files in folder”, File content set to output of “Get file content” action. Within "If/yes" of Condition, we do nothing.

    Best regards,

    Kris

Hi, when I follow the suggested procedure, I do get files to the (existing) Google Drive folder. However, the files (mostly pdf files) are corrupted. The files are equal in size, but the pdf files contain only (some of) the text, and none of the images of the original file.

Solved by setting FTP connection setting to 'binary transfer', in accordance with another thread. And making sure that the changed connection was used.
