Trying to send chat to sender of a message in Teams - help? I'm new to this

Hi, I'm reasonably tech-savvy but I've never used Power Automate before. I noticed the "Create Action" option when I click on the context menu for a Teams message, and I'm hoping to create an action that will simply open a chat window (either a pop-out window or shift focus to existing chat with that person) with the sender of the message. The point would be having an easy way to reply privately to someone who sent a message in a large group or channel.

I've been testing flows that "send reply" or "send message" and all I'm seeing is how to send an automated message - but I don't want to automate the message, I just want to open the chat. Is that possible? Do I need a different action than "send message" etc? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

hi @aospovat  by using cloud flows unfortunately there is no way to do that. But using PAD you have an action called focus in windows but this is a robot so I don't see any scenario where your play the bot just for focus the windows.

    Hi Aospovat.

I'm trying to create a flow that does something very similar to what you asked.

I am a member of a group chat in MS Teams.

    Somebody posts a question.

I want to reply to that person's question, but privately.

Did you have any luck finding out how to do this, please?

I look forward to hearing how you got on.

    Yours hopefully,

    John Devlin.
