Send an email using the Created by Email

Dear All,

As per the client requirement When an item is created in SharePoint the Flow triggers. And after the few steps, the client requirement is an email should be triggered from CREATED BY EMAIL account i.e. who have created the ITEM. Using FROM (Send As) Power Automate gives an authentication error. As the connections are working in the name of Developer & every email contains the Developer name as FROM, which is not required.

Please help.

    Hello,

this is not posible unless the IT department gives you access to every possible item creator's mailbox (Send as permission), which I would NOT do for many reasons.

Your best bet is to use a shared mailbox, and then use the created by displayname in the subject row or similar to indicate who created the item.

    Dear Fedrick,

As per your instructions, When I start the "created by displayname", I got the following error:

OpenApiOperationParameterTypeConversionFailed. The 'inputs.parameters' of workflow operation 'Send_an_email_(V2)0_When_Approved' of type 'OpenApiConnection' is not valid. Error details: Input parameter 'emailMessage/From' is required to be of type 'String/email'. The runtime value '"abc, xyz (pqr)"' to be converted doesn't have the expected format 'string/email'.

So this was converted as string also using variable but then also It didn't work.
