Using SendEmail function in a Hybrid Environment

I have a power apps application that utilizes the OutlookOffice365.SendEmail function to send notifications. This has been working fine until recently when the organization migrated to a hybrid mail environment (office365 mail + on-prem exchange mail). Now, users that have their mailbox on prem have issues authenticating the outlook connector when logging into the app.

They are not able to authenticate. See image below

I reckon there are two ways I can resolve this issue;
  1. Use a function that can connect both office365 and exchange mails. However, I don't know if power apps have such a function.
  2. Configure it such that all emails are sent using a service account email address. Last I checked, in power apps, the email has to be sent using the logged in user's mailbox.
Please, who can help me with any of these or know any other way I can resolve this issue.
