Hello to all,
Without doubt, 99% of my time is dicking around with dates, pardon the pun 🙄
I've tried to explain every minor detail
First shot is an excel column in a new Excel workbook where I've inputted 1/2/22 into a cell default formatted as general, dragged it down, Excel converted this data to a date format giving me 01/02/2022 etc, as per my regional settings ( UK ), perfect.
Second shot is the PAD variable which got read from this Excel workbook, perfect.
Third shot is PAD writing this variable to a new Excel workbook, NOT perfect !
Its obvious Excel is converting to US dating system.
The excel being written to is default formatted as general, when the data is written, some dates get formatted as general, whereas the others get formatted as a date, its obvious the UK format gets a general format whereas the US gets a date format.
My pc is all setup as UK regional settings.
In the Excel to be written to I've left it at general, formatted as text, date, custom, you name it, I've tried it.
As per subject, why the hell isn't the data just written as verbatim ?
I'm convinced its Excel rather than PAD.
Thoughts ?
Thanks 😁
