I just built my first Power App so I do not know the dynamics of how it all works yet. A SharePoint list is my data source in the app, if I update or add an entry in my SharePoint list do I have to refresh my data source in the app each time this happens or does the app get updated automatically?

If I have to do it do I click Edit on the 3 dots next to the app icon and then go to data source and click on the 3 dots and click refresh?

@amemartinez .. if you are updating the source directly (without PowerApps being involved) then it is better to refresh the source in PowerApps.. this is not always the case. Suppose you update the source.. and in PowerApps you move to another screen and come back to original screen where you are showing data from SharePoint list in Gallery.. and it automatically gets updated data.. there is always call to datasource..

but if you are updating the source from one screen only.. then no worries.. you get updated data..since there is refresh that happens..

You can also look at Refresh function where you can manually call for refresh of a data source.. and sometimes you have to manually call Refresh..

again all this depends on what is the situation..so many factors and not just one..
