Combobox DispalyFields & SearchField keep resetting

While editing the app combobox display and search fields keep resetting.  I've used the dropdown interface.  Manually typed in the fields.  And even tried using a variable to set the display fields.

They just won't stay.  And they switch to something that is random.  For example one will change to ["ComplianceAssettID"].  And then it will become ["Title"].

I can't proceed with the rest of the app because everything is dependent on those records from the comboboxes.

    @AndrewValenzuel

    First, the records of the combobox will not change based on what is displayed - so that should not stop you from proceeding with the rest of the app.

    Next, a combobox display and search settings will change if you change the formula of the Items property.  The reason is, it re-evaluates the schema of the control and once it does that, it then "guesses" as to what column would be displayed.  It ususally never guesses what you want!

    So, if you are altering the Items property in any way, then this is what you will see.

    I hope this is helpful for you.

    So, the original problem I was having was caused by me updating the Data Source filters.  I opted to remove the ComboBoxes and use Galleries instead.

    Turns out, there is still a bug and it's causing a huge problem.  Making ComboBoxes essentially useless.  In this case the Default Selected Item is set to a record, with is a variable.  When that variable changes.  The whole ComboBox resets, meaning the fields get reset to whatever.  And one time (there are 4 comboboxes) all ComboBox IsSearchable property changed.

    What's more annoying is that the problem is intermittent.  I cannot reproduce the problem at will.  It happens randomly.  How do I report a bug to PowerApps ?

    I'm having this exact problem today. I have an application in multiple languages, the display field and search field changes depending on if the app is in the main language or another. The application has been working fine for months and now it has now decided to change the display field to only show the translation field. Everytime I change it, it reverts back. Did you ever find what was going on ?

    I have the exact same issue going on. My Power App requires to be bilingual (English/French). I'm using a Form, but using a Power App flow to update the information. When I go to submit the info, I always store the English value and use the Power App to switch between languages for display. If the user's Language() is English, I show Items=colEnglishValues with display/search fields set to ["Value"] else items=colFrenchValues with display/search fields set to ["ValueFR"]. It worked for a bit and then it now just sticks to one language. Even if I try put the if then statement inside the Value field (e.g. if lang="en-US", ["Value], ["ValueFR"] it automatically changes to ["ComplianceAssettID"] once I leave focus. Not sure what my options are here.

    @CollinHunter1 ,

    I have changed my collections and I have created a column which stores either the French or the translation. That way I can set the DisplayField and SearchField to just one column. It took a while for the app to accept it and was buggy whilst doing it, but it seems to be working. I had to adjust my collections everywhere in the app and then once the structure of the collection was fixed I could then change the DisplayField and SearchField. Sometimes it didn't accept the new field and I had to close the app and come back in again to set the DisplayField and SearchField and then it would accept it.
