Error: Can't find target session

Hi there,

I have a PAD flow that runs every morning in unattended mode on a desktop computer (physical, not virtual). The flow runs for about 4 hours. It has been running fine for several months until this past Saturday 26 October when it started to fail.
It starts fine, runs for about 30 minutes and then throws the following error: Can't find target session. This happens every day now. There have been no recent changes to the flow or the desktop computer.

The desktop computer has the latest version of PAD installed.

Any ideas?

Kind regards,
IM

Have you made sure there isn't some setting that puts the machine to sleep or logs out automatically after 30 minutes?
Does the flow actually do progress and complete actions until it fails in 30 minutes?
Have you tested running the flow in attended mode (from the cloud)? If it fails can you see anything in the screen that might indicate problem?
Maybe your internet connection breaks or the machine is not up to specs and is throttling so much that it loses the connection?

You said that you have the latest version of PAD installed. Did the problems start after you updated PAD? Maybe try going back to earlier patch which you didn't have issues. Older version can be downloaded here: https://github.com/jfevia/Power-Automate-Desktop/releases
