Sending Text Messages

I'm looking for suggestions for the best SMS tool to use within flow.

I work in education and would like to explore the use of SMS messaging through Microsoft with parents. We use flow to send emails to parents but text messages can still be a useful form of communication for us as we don't have an email for every parent/carer.

I'm looking for cost effectiveness on a bulk scale, within our Management Information System we have the capacity to send up to 22,000 text messages a month on an annual bulk subscription of around £4000 but it's not intelligent enough for what we need and can be far to manual a task to send messages to targeted groups of families.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

There are multiple connectors available to send SMS messages using Power Automate.

    Here is a blog post:

    https://sharepains.com/2018/12/07/send-an-sms-from-a-flow-in-power-automate/

The above blog covered many aspects including Pricing information. After you visit the blog, you can check actual connectors documentation in Microsoft or respective vendors to see the latest information.

    Following connectors are available:

    • Infobip
    • Nexmo
    • Plivo
    • Telesign SMS
    • Twilio

    Twilio the connector information:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/twilio/

Twilio accepts E.164 Phone Number format. You can check more details at https://www.twilio.com/docs/glossary/what-e164

Also, there are many MS Flow templates which uses Twilio.
