I’ve got some potential use cases at work for power automate, but I've got so many little nuances I wanted to ask if it's possible before moving forward with more research (or trying to find a freelancer who can help implement.
Is what I have below possible?
The main ones which I've gotten the least info via searching is the possibility of a digital signature or print-to-pdf/flattening options.
Simplified Flow:
Trigger: selecting “yes” on a row in a spreadsheet/list
\/
Add information from the same row to a pdf document
\/
Email the pdf document with customized email headers and body based on the same row
Perfect World/Detailed Flow:
Trigger: completion of a project (represented as a row in a 365 excel list (or maybe a SharePoint list going forward if needed) – potentially represented by changing a yes/no to yes in the “Complete?” column, or entry of a date in the “Final” column.
\/
From the same row, populate a PDF document which varies in format based on the entry in the jurisdiction column.
Populate in different locations on the document all values from Permit Number to Final.
\/
Name the document based on client, permit #, and PO
\/
Ideally, digitally sign the document IF DIGITIAL SIGNING ISN’T POSSIBLE: have an scanned image of a seal & signature and after the date is inserted do a “print to pdf” or flatten feature so the document looks like it was a scanned version of a paper copy. (gov’t rules accept digitally signed OR scan of paper copy)
\/
Save pdf to a folder based on the client and jurisdiction
\/
Email pdf to an email account which is dependent on the jurisdiction, format email heading and body with various combinations of jurisdiction, dependent of jurisdiction (perhaps with option to hold certain jurisdiction’s pdf’s to all send in one email because some request it that way)
Example Data:
Permit # | Address | Client | PO | In Progress | Final | Jurisdiction | Complete? | Notes |
R19-20222 | 1532 Silver Bridge Dr | Roofing Experts Inc | 1234 | 8/10/2019 | 10/2/2019 | Martin Cty | Yes | COC accepted |
If this is out of the realm of power automate, does anyone have a recommended alternative solution?
Bump. I think this is very doable. Anyone interested in either sharing some similar flows or doing some paid consulting to implement it?
