Stopping Flow Based on Approval

Hello,

I have a flow that approves or rejects a request. What I am trying to achieve is, if the approval is rejected it doe not complete the remaining items of the flow. If approved, it completes the entire flow.

Attempted to implement the "Terminate" condition but it would not allow it within the "Apply to each". Is there some easier way?

In the condition that checks the response of the Approval use a Terminate action set for Successful as the last action in the No side of the condition.  That will stop the flow at that point.

Delete the Apply to each. Instead, add a switch to your flow and point it to the Outcome. Then in the switch, add one for each outcome (e.g., Approve, Reject). That will solve your problem.

If there is a reason you're using a value from the responses rather than the outcome, please explain why. Note, you will move the terminate action up into the Case Reject action based on what you said you needed. My flow doesn't do exactly the same as you are doing. If you allow the approval to be canceled, I use the Default in the switch to handle that, but the example of mine does not allow for it to be cancelled which is why I don't have anything there.

Deleting "Apply to each" and inserting a "Switch" instead was the answer!!

    Thank you!

    Hi

Just curious, if you have multiple approvers you want to send many emails?

I realize you got rid of the apply to each, but can I ask, when you had it, was your intent to send 1 email per person who responded?

    Hi FLMike,

Sorry for the delay in response to your question. It was only to send 1 email to an approver.
