Building a list of file names

I need to build a list of file names by scanning through an existing folder of files. The folder of files contains file names like aaaa123_C0001_aaaaa.pdf and bbbbb_C0003_ccccc.pdf. I need to create a list that would look like C0001,C0003. Can Power Automate find the pattern that begins with "C" followed by 4 numerics and then write each of the occurrences to a new file.

The IndexOf() function can find the "_C", then you can assume the next 4 chars.

From there, Left(), Right(), Mid(), Substring(), etc functions can help with string manipulation.

This seems about what I want to do but I'm working from files on a Windows server, Can this be modified to work in that environment?

Hi,

So when you write, you should clarify 2 things always

1) what platform. this question is clearly for Desktop (imho), but you do not explain or state that. There is a specific Community forum for PAD :-)

2) share your flow and steps. Please write these as steps, not sentences and definitely not paragraphs.
