Copilot Studio Actions - Adding structured data from Excel file in SP

Hi,

I am following the demo from Dewain Roberson in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPkLYoWW7OM&t=924s

Trying to setup an action using the Excel Get Table connector. I have a couple of questions for anyone who got this to work.

1. How do you setup additional input fields for the action? There is no add button. When I try to add in YAML code, I get: There is an error: 'InvalidPropertyPath'

I am forced to use only 3 inputs (Location, library, file).

2. At 22.22 of the video it shows the conversation map with the action. All inputs and outputs are type string, however my outputs are type table. How do I get them to string?

I have also followed the similar procedures based on the video and make it work.

Now answers to your question:

1. I don't think we will be able to add any additional Input to that actions. The Connector that we are using in action (Excel Online) is predefined with a set of input variables. So based on the connectors it will get changed.

I was able to add only one additional input as shown below. So currently there are no options to Add additional Input variables.

2. How did you configure the Output variables? In the Output mode, you need to Choose "All" in Choose how output will be stored in action.

Also make sure your source Excel (in my case inside SharePoint) is formatted as Table inside the Workbook which are formatted as String.

If everything is fine, then output should be configured as shown in the below Screenshot.

@Vinoth Selvam thank you much. I was using the wrong Excel connector for the action. I followed your detailed instructions and it worked.
