How to get an email if flow fails

I have a simple flow, it works most of the time but when something goes wrong, there's no notification. In the example below, what's the best way to get a failure email if something goes wrong at Create Item step? Failure could be for any reason, occasionally i've seen Bad Request error 400

I tried adding Send email step right after Create Item (screenshot below) and configured run after option, it works but it also send the normal email in last step.

Hello Mdopro,

This is the set-up I have on all my flows to send me an email with the exact flow run link any time anything fails in the flow.

The left of the parallel branch fails or skips just like any other action after a failed step. This makes it so the flow logs still show a failure for that run.

The right side of the parallel branch runs if the previous action fails, times out, or skips.

The expression for the flow run link is concat('https://us.flow.microsoft.com/manage/environments/', workflow()?['tags']?['environmentName'], '/flows/', workflow()?['name'], '/runs/', workflow()?['run']['name'])

The Send Email action is in code view so I can insert the flow run link from the compose action into the body as shown below.

Check your flow.

Hi mdopro1

You can consider for "Send an email(V2) to manager and HR" configure run after option to "is skipped".

I did that, but after reading @takolota response i think my flow will not record Failed in 28-day run history. Do you think that's the case? Example below

@mdopro1, Yes it won't record failed runs as failures in the logs if the last action ran successfully. That is why I create a parallel branch with a type of placeholder action that will be skipped like in any other case where a flow fails and it will then log it as a failure and send the email if you have the email action in the other branch.

Further to this topic, if there is an apply to each section which fails, how would you send an email with the failed attachment from the apply to each section? Is it possible to group all the failed apply to each into one email?
