PAD UI Element fail to recognise

Hello guys,

im trying to automate one software at our company, its not a webapp, problem is with UI Elements, when i recorded first flow, it worked just fine, then i created cloud flow in PA that runs "Desktop Flow"- still worked fine.

Problem was, when I created another process with the same software and wanted to start the flows in unattended mode - seems like PAD forgot how to use all the UI Element clicks and it does literally nothing. None of the flows work correctly

Thanks for advices

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @MattFIN ,

I think your not able to focus the window,it need to focus the window then i can click the UI elements.

In unattended mode, PAD might have difficulty bringing the target application to focus. This can prevent clicks from registering.

So use Focus Window action before clicking the UI elements.

Its in Czech language, bet you can get whats on the screen.

    1. Application start / 2. Wait for boot / 3. Focus on the window / 4. Click into the UI Element

    This is my trigger:

Trigger is my mobile app where i start the flow manually.

I have very similar flow already built, trigger is "When email arrives" and it works just fine. It can recognise the UI Element with Focus, and i cant crack this one.

PS: This is my UI Element window whis is not responding

What is the exact error you are getting in cloud flow? Please share some screenshot.

But It seems "UIAutomation.ExtractWindowDataError" shows it not able to focus your window app.

In case if you are trying to extract data from your windows app, then first add some action like "wait for window" and make your window app as target element or system and execute the extract data action.

Its not an error per se, it just run out of time, my PA is failing to target UI Element right from the start, but it works perfectly in my other flow, which is 90% identical, I dont understand why... Same software, same login process, but in my second flow, it doesnt work, its weird.

I'm sorry, problem wasnt in the UI Element itself, but this flow runs 'Attach to Excel' command, which doesnt work in Unattended mode, it works fine in attended. Is there any way how i can check step by step flow actions in unattended mode? @Deenuji @VishnuReddy1997  ?

    Thanks guys

    Hi @MattFIN ,

Yes you can check activity by activity what happened in the run in make.powerautomate.com.

In this website you can click on desktop flow activity ,you can select your flow and then click of see full details you can see the activity by activity as shown in below image.

THAT! actually helped me solve the problem, found out one of my UIElement clicks wasnt working, and my flow couldnt click on another action button, which was Export to Excel, hence i couldnt attack anything to excel, bcs Excel wasnt even opened...i replaced the click action button in unattended flow with {Enter} and it works now.

Thanks guys ! You helped me a ton
