Convert Word to PDF Errors - "There was an error accessing the file."

Hi All,

I've been doing some research on this error I'm getting without finding a solution as yet so I'm hoping you can help!

I built a flow ages ago which gets details from an MS Form, populates a Word Template, creates a file in SharePoint, converts to PDF then emails it. It's worked fine for months with no issues.

Today I've tried to build a very similar flow, this time a manually triggered flow which takes the details, populates a Word template, creates a file, converts to PDF and send an email but I can not get this one to work!

I keep getting various different errors, the latest is "There was an error accessing the file." PreviousFlowPreviousFlowPreviousFlow DetailsPreviousFlow Details

I have seen some information that suggests that the dynamic file name in Covert to PDF doesn't work but then I don't understand why 1st flow runs fine, I tested today & it's working fine.

Has anyone else come across this & have any idea's on how to solve?

Thanks in advance 🙂

    Hello @PaulaMcC ,

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the 'Document Library' should be only the library name, the whole path, including the file name should be in the 'File' field, e.g.

    Hi @tom_riha

Thanks for the suggestion, I've double checked and I'm using the 'Name' from proceeding 'Create File'20211012.1.png

    Hello @PaulaMcC ,

just the first idea - are you using the 'Name' output from the correct action (Create file)? You're creating two files in the flow so maybe you selected the other one (Create file for Receipt...)?
