Barcode Camera issue

Surface Pro 4 (Win10 1709) + Powerapps Studio (2.0.770)

App: Portrait

Surface Pro 4: Landscape

I'm making a barcode scanner.

In edit mode previews, both camera displays correctly.

But when running the app, camera image reversal and mirroring.

(Android phone & Iphone/ipad image displays correctly.)

    Hi  @sk881209, are you using the front or rear camera? One thing to try is to change the Camera id used.

    What is the version of the PowerApps player you are using?

    @tahoon

    Manily the rear camera. I have set toggle control to switch camera id.

    Camera id: 0(front) 1(rear) 2(external usb camera),all have been tried.

    Edit mode everything's fine.

    Running at app mode,camera image reversal and mirroring.

    I have another windows tablet(ASUS VivoTab Note 8),same problem.

    @wz366

    Windows app & Andoroid app both are 2.0.770

    keep updated,should be the latest version.

    Thanks you for providing the screenshots and detailed information. Looks like there is no quick workaround in this case. It's tricky to diagnose as it only happens on certain devices in certain settings. We are aware of similar incidents and are actively tracking this defect.

    Thanks for your replay.

    I've tried one more device -- Lenovo Helix,same problem.

    So far,all my Windows platform devices have the same problem.

    Is this really not a common problem on Windows platform devices?

    I've heard of the problem on a few Windows laptops with built-in cameras. The main usage scenario is on Android and iOS phones, and there are comparatively fewer problems, anecdotally. If you are using a Windows computer, another thing to try is an external USB camera (or a different one).

    We (my school teachers) are still having this issue.

    looks like a possible easy fix, plus if there could be a control to modify the flipped image, that would be great.

    i have seem to isolate it in my post a few weeks ago here on the web end using chrome dev tools:

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Discussion/BUG-Camera-Barcode-Found-Solution-for-laptop-quot-in-back-quot/m-p/112190

    Hopefully, a fix very soon, i hope.

    We might consider adding options to flip and rotate the image to fit users' needs. However, I do not have a timeline for this.

    I'm still seeing this issue when using the barcode scanner on my iPad. Has a decision been made to fix or add options to flip the image?

    Are you using the new barcode scanner? This is the one that opens in a new screen instead of having a live feed in the app. The new barcode scanner does not have any known issues with rotation and flipping.
