Run desktop flows concurrently on Windows Server devices

Hi,

I'm trying to use one Windows Server 2016 machine with 2 separate user accounts to run Power Automate Desktop.

I use On-premises data gateway to connect with Microsoft Power Platform (version: 3000.101.16)

I have a problem when I'm connecting both of them and would like to use one for attended runs and one for unattended runs.

On one user I'm developing PAD solutions and I would like to test it with the attended robot version and when I have only this one connected I can run flow from MPP.

When I connect second useruser with unattended mode, I can run only flows in unattended mode.

Running on first user with attended mode is not working then.

I found that this suppose to work: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/desktop-flows/run-pad-flow

Did you have any similar issue?

Regards,

Adrian

    Hi AdrianRycz,

Running in unattended mode requires the user to be logged off from the machine, whereas running in attended mode requires the user to be logged on.

    Thanks,

    George

    Hi George,

    Thank you for your message.

Maybe I didn't explain my issue enough.

I know that I have to be logged in when I run the robot in attended mode. I was able to run the robot in attended mode when I only connected one gateway to MPP.

Then I connect the second gateway to another user on this machine, I sign out from the machine, and I start the flow from the first one. I can see that everything is working fine on the second machine which is working in unattended mode.

But when I want to again run the robot on the first user it is not working, it's showing me a message:

"There was an error creating this connection, if the gateway is online then it needs to be reinstalled."

Gateways for both users are connected and online.

    Regards,

    Adrian
