Power Apps Error saving SharePoint Online People field when choosing Resource

If I choose a Resource for a People field when saving a SharePoint list item, it gives an error 'Network error when using Patch function: The requested operation is invalid'

If I choose an actual Person it works fine.

I can't find any Patch function coded in the Power Apps solution.

Can anyone advise on this error, it seems more tied to something missing in AD, or that resoucces can't be bound to?

    Hi @RickS1 ,

     

    I think the first thing we can do is to find out the Patch function and look into its syntax.

    Try this tool to search "Patch" in your app:
