Location of default environment

Hi Everyone, I've encountered a scenario where one of my colleagues has logged into power automate using a personal Microsoft account and then used their work credentials to authorise the connectors to their work OneDrive and process data in the default environment that you get with a free "Maker" account.

I'm looking at using tenant isolation to prevent this issue in the future, but my information security team have asked me to figure out where the public default environment is hosted due to the implications of data being processed outside of our tenant. I'm searched for any MS documentation around this but there's nothing that explains the data residency in this scenario - is anyone able to advise me please?

You can find the Default environment settings inside the Power Platform Admin Center under Environments. There, you'll see details such as the Environment URL, Organization ID (tenant), and the region where the data is hosted within your tenant. Please note that you'll need the appropriate Azure AD role (i.e. Power Platform Admin) to view this information. Access the settings at https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/.

    Hi There,

The default environment in Power Automate is and tied to the tenant where your organization's Microsoft 365 services are hosted.

Please give kudos and mark as solution if it helps.

    Thanks,

This was done outside of my tenant via a hotmail login, then the individual authorised the connectors to my tenant. I know how to check my own environment but it the default location that's used from a free maker account external to my tenant that I'm trying to figure out.
