Want to disable 'allow customizations' in deployed managed solution but can't

Hi,

I unknowingly deployed a managed solution to production with the setting 'allow customizations' checked to true.

I want to disable it so that my apps and flows can't be edited in production.

I tried deleting the managed solution and deployed another managed solution after I disabled 'allow customizations'.

I disabled for all my apps and flows but it didn't work. Still able to edit apps and flows.

How can I fix this?

Regards,

Daniel

    @danru

    I do not recommend this feature to Production solutions given it's in preview.

    Here is a post that talks about some of the limitations.

    Please do wait until it will get released to GA (General Availability).

    Hi @Velegandla ,

    True! I did a test where I disabled 'allow customizations' to a test power app in test solution at the beginning before deploying as a managed solution to production and in this situation not even I as the app owner can edit the app (ie: the pencil is greyed out).

    This is the state I'm trying to achieve after the fact that I initially deployed my main managed solution to production with 'allow customizations' enabled.

    Is there a way to achieve this for the already deployed solutions? I tried to disable the 'allow customizations' in my development environment in the unmanaged solution and even though I exported as a managed solution and imported as an upgrade it didn't change anything.

    Thank you again for all your help!

    Regards,

    Daniel

    @danru

    The app edit icon is only visible when you are a co-author of the app.

    Users shouldn't be co-owners and they shouldn't be able to see the edit icon for each app.

    Hi @Velegandla ,

    Many thanks for helping me.

    I tried enabling this feature. However, if I head over to 'Apps' the Edit icon is enabled and the app can be opened and the datasources accessed which is what I want to prevent. Is there a setting to disable the 'Pencil'?

    @danru

    You need to enable settings to block unmanaged customizations.

    Note that it is still in preview.
