Hello,

I'm working on a flow where the subject line needs to be checked for a specific keyword before the flow can execute the subsequent steps. I have been trying but failing to understand the reasons for not getting the desired results. So, I'm looking for inputs to fix the issue.

Mail Subject: Pulsor PS failed records 01CE 20240910

Step 1: When a new mail arrives

In this step, I have provided "Pulsor PS failed records 01CE" as the input because after 01CE is the date

Step 2: Condition to ensure the subject is not empty

expression: not(empty(triggerOutputs()?['subject']))

In this step, I'm getting the output as a false.

Step 3: Condition to check for the keyword "01CE" in the subject line.

Please advise what I should do to get the desired result.

Hi,

The method to use the subject filter is built into the trigger itself so you don't need the conditional action (in this example) because it is not needed. Setup your trigger like this (shown below).

The conditional action is useful if you want to further filter out some additional subject content but for a single phrase, just use the trigger subject filter.

I was unnecessarily complicating the flow to being with. which I managed to sort after your mail.

Here is the final flow breakup..

Step1 - when a new mail with attachment arrives "Pulsor PS Failed Records 01CE"

Step2 - Condition to check arrival time

if yes

Check file name

rename file and upload to SharePoint

Step3 - Send notification when file uploaded.
