When one person approves a request, the request is still pending for the other user.

I'm using "Start and wait for an approval". The Approval Type is "Custom Responses - Wait for one response", and sending it to user1@domain.com;user2@domain.com;

It seems that when one of the users approves the request, the request is still pending in the other user's Approvals app.

Have you actually gone into the other user's account and opened the request after the first approver has responded? It ought to refresh the screen with a message that the request has been responded to.

Thank you. This prompted me to take a closer look. It's evident now looking at Received Approvals when the second user was added to the workflow and wasn't yet assigned these particular requests. Someone must have bypassed the approval request and manually "approved" them in our SharePoint list.
