Generate Sequential Number

Hi everyone, I am new to Power Automate. I need to create a flow that generates sequential numbers based on the data in Column 2. When the data in Column 2 increases, the sequential numbers should generate in the following pattern: A1, B1, C1, D1, E1, F1, A2, B2, C2, D2, E2, F2, A3... Could you please guide me on how to achieve this?

    Hi,

One question- should the process be designed in a way where adding a row itself makes the bot automatically a serial number in column 1?

What should be the next "number"  after F9 ?

You can use int() and mod() to compute the sequence item.

Thank you for your previous response. I am trying to automate this process using Power Automate Desktop (PAD). For example, if the data in Column B extends to the 10th row, I want to automatically generate sequential numbers in Column A up to the 10th row. Column A already exists in the spreadsheet, so the bot doesn’t need to create it.

I’ve managed to generate sequential numbers in Column A, but the issue is that the numbers are being created up to row 14, even though the data in Column B only goes up to row 10. The sequential numbering should stop at row 10 based on the data in Column B. Could you please guide me on how to resolve this issue?

and to answer "Ibendlin" question after F9 "A10" should come.

Use a proper index column, starting from 0.  The letter can then be the character representation of the index modulo 6 + 65 , and the number can be the integer divide of the (index-1} by 6.

Frankly, just use a numerical index.
