Creating an auto reply in power automate with teams

Hey guys im in total despair: I'm trying to create a flow so that when someone writes to our group chat in teams and its outside my working hours (mon through fri 9 to 5) it would auto answer that my shift is off and for urgent matters they can contact an oncall phone. The thing is whatever way i do this flow it would end up triggering millions of replies once it receives one message. What am I doing wrong? .

I'm not sure why the "Apply to each" action is appearing in your flow. It would be helpful if you could explain your setup in more detail.

Could you provide an expanded explanation of your flow, including the actions you've used and the expressions you've applied? This would help in understanding the issue better and identifying why the loop is being triggered.

Hey @SriniK, thanks for answering! The "apply to each" action is there because since it was triggering a lot of responses I thought I could use the "Get Message Details" action to store the message ID in a variable and then if the message was already answered it should stop answering. When I added the "Get Message Details" action, the Apply to each was automatically added by Power Automate so I left it there.

But originally the flow was simpler: When a new message was added to my group chat and if it met the condition that it was earlier than 9 or later than 5pm it would post a message answering that they could call the on-call phone. Hope this clarifies, thanks again for answering. Every input you and others may have is very welcome. Im new at this.

could you please explain why did you decide to create a flow if Teams application itself has Out of office functionality?
