Hello all,

I have encountered with last update popup error The program PAD.Console.Host.exe and The program PAD.Designer.exe stopped interacting with Windows and was closed - from Event log.

The popup is in the screenshot.

Issues that comes with this popup is:

1. None of existing flows can't be edited

2. New ones can't be created

What have I tried is next:

1. Uninstall of the PAD, with deleting following folders

>C:\Users\myname\AppData\Local\Microsoft\PAD.Console.exe_StrongName_*

>C:\Users\myname\AppData\Local\Microsoft\PAD.Designer.Host.exe_StrongName_*

>C:\Users\myname\AppData\Local\Microsoft\PowerAutomate

>C:\Users\myname\AppData\Local\Microsoft\PowerAutomate.Desktop

Then installed PAD again, and it didn't work.

2. Roll-back to the version 2.40 - it didn't work

3. Roll-back to the version 2.39 - it didn't work completely, for older flows it worked for new it didn't

4. All prerequisites are installed - checked

Only thing I found there is similar or call it partial issue on

    Hi @Gajtan89 ,

Can you able to see the environment you can see the environment, please change whether you selected the correct environment.

If above does not work sign-out from PAD and sign in again.

If this also doesn't work, we have seen many of our teammates have uninstalled and reinstalled PAD it worked.

(Note:- if you got your solution you can mark as solution and gives kudos)

    Thanks & Regards

    Vishnu Reddy

If updating to the latest version available currently (2.42) doesn't fix it, I recommend reporting this as a bug to Microsoft support.
