Item Approval Flow does not come with Item Created by e-mail

I think this is an easy one.

I created an item approval flow (from template).

I assined myself as approver (TO field)

The problem is the e-mail with the approval request always come with my own name as SENDER, although I didn´t configure the sender at the flow and other folks are creating the item that issues the approval request.

The ITEM CREATOR (John, Mary, Julia, etc) should be shown as the e-mail sender, not me. I can manage and show the item created by name at the body, but not as the SENDER of the e-mail.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi aleite,

I tested from my side and got the same result. And we cannot modify the “From” field. But you can add the “Created by” parameter in the email body so that you could know who created this itemed when receiving the approval email.

After this, I still got the sender as myself (Mona Li), but I could see that this item is created by “lin amos”.

Hi Mona, thaks for your interest, but this behavior looks wrong and I think MS will correct it soon. Or there is a catch we did not find out. I could manage to put the created by name at the body (or even at the subject too, I think), but the e-mail should be issued with the item created by e-mail.

The only bypass I can think by now is to create all approval flows with a O365 service login, such as ADMIN@ or FLOW@, so flows will not issue e-mails misleading the approver.

    Regards, Alex.

    Hi Alex

thats exactly how I've solved this problem. You have to create a new connection to a the account you want the approvals to come from. i created an office 365 account called "GroupITConfigMangement" which will handle all my flows in future.
