Flow for sharing a file in SharePoint Library with "People with existing access"

Hi,

I am creating a flow that will send an email with a file in SharePoint Library.

As I need the security of the file to follow the same security in the SharePoint Library, I have been sharing the file as a hyperlink with  "People with existing access".

I have tried using "Create sharing link for a file or folder", but it seems like I have only two option of "View Only" and "View and Edit".

Please advise how I can configure my flow to achieve the same result.

Thank you in advance!

Hi, i found the topic below to be of help with permissions, not sure if this is what you mean but it may send you on the right path 😉

    Hi @thebam135

    Thank you for the response.

The link which you have provided primarily focus on "Edit" and "View" function and I am not able to fully comprehend "Using custom-defined roles to grant access".

The file is location as such, where the Special Folder has a unique security/permissions:
Site > Documents > Folder > Special Folder > File

Hence, I do not think I can use "Using custom-defined roles to grant access" for the Special Folder as it is for Site (Please correct me if I am wrong).

Next, if possible, I do not want the Power Automate to configure the unique security/permissions and to just rely on the special folder's permission.

Hence, is there any way I can achieve "People with existing access" without Power Automate to configure the unique security/permissions.

    Thank you.

    Hi @nkraemer

I managed to find the following link:

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Ideas/Create-sharing-link-for-a-file-or-folder-in-SharePoint-for/idi-p/194595/page/2#comments

However, I have yet to test it due to lack of time.

I hope the above link helps.

I'm having the same problem.  This is quite frustrating.  Any further developments?  The link above doesn't work for me.
