Hello!

I have a PAD need to run every 5 minutes.

I know we can initiate it with a Cloud flow. Is the a better way? can we schedule it using windows services or something else?

Thanks.

    Hi @Shiva ,

Currently, the scheduling and orchestration needs to happen in the cloud.

You could theoretically create and schedule a script which will trigger a cloud flow and then your desktop flow but not sure on the benefit.

Some in the ideas section suggested using autohotkey to launch PAD and start a flow which is ironic.

    Hello @Shiva ,

You will need to use Schedule Flows to run your Desktop flows? For details see - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/desktop-flows/run-desktop-flow

Please note, if you are planning to run in an unattended mode you will need an Add-On License.https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/

Please note - there is no way for you to do that and I don't think Microsoft will support this in the future. Because you have to use Power Automate on Cloud as the orchestrator for triggering manually or schedule it from there. You can't do that from a task scheduler.

I have found an idea and you can vote it up here - https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Ideas/Schedule-Power-Automate-Desktop-from-within-Windows-10/idi-p/847797
