Can't copy error messages

Receive an error in Run History. Text on failed Action isn't selectable. Error message in panel on right is truncated. How can I copy the text of error message without resorting to OCR?

Please tell me they didn't ship it like this. This product is still surprising me every day and not in a good way.

In a failed flow run using the New Editor, you will see a text-selectable error message displayed at the top of the screen:

Note that you do have the option to close this bar at the top, but refreshing the page should bring it back.

i know it can be difficult, when you’re trying to debug without copying the error.

my general approach is , i use result function
which gives me the exact error message for debugging purposes.

That error message doesn't show up in the banner if the Flow ended successfully (you handle the errors).

And BTW, that date is straight out of a SharePoint column and is compliant. I also use result but it's not available for Actions (it applies to Scopes, etc.).

Good article @Power Apps 1919. We think alike! I've done most of this stuff independently. Would love to compare notes someday. I'm building an app framework you might find interesting (no doubt you've done a lot of it too).

The issue with that date that's in your sharepoint column is that it's wrapped in brackets and quotes: ["datetime"]

At least in my SP instance, datetime fields are not wrapped like that. You can use the replace() function to remove the unwanted characters when referencing this field.

If you're not worried about the 8 level depth limit, you can put your whole flow into a Scope and then have your error recording at the very end outside of the Scope.
