display global optionset on an Embedded Canvas App

I have a Global OptionSet in Dynamics CRM which I have been trying to display on an Embedded Canvas App without any luck .Adding the field to the Form simply makes it look like a text field and I am able to display the currently selected value using Default set as ThisItem.fieldName but am unable to get it to display all the values as a dropdown which users can select and then update.

I thought this was basic stuff but have spent a few hours getting nowhere. Am I missing anything obvious, anyone can guide me on this please.

    Hey @bravoperss 

     

    To display all the values from an option set, can you try to use the below expression on the "Items" property of the dropdown as:

    Choices(EntityName.ColumnName)

    Here, ColumnName is the name of column which points to the required option set.
