Hello Everyone,

I am new to PowerApps and I am struggling with this challenge for more than 2 days, I hope someone could help me here.

Basically what I am trying to do it, I have an attachment control linked to a Button that collect the attachment in PowerApps, I need to load the data from the attached excel file into a dataverse table when the button is clicked, using PowerAutomate, I can see Add a New Row step for dataverse , where you select the table and columns but I have no idea how to map the columns from the excel file to the dataverse table.

Can you please help?

Thank you so much

First you need to use another connector to open your excel file.     (depending where the excel file resides, you will use excel online business or onedrive).

    Hi @Zrouatbi ,

From attachment control try uploading your excel to sharePoint. Then you can read the excel from SharePoint and create records in Data verse. You can follow this video for step by step instruction to read excel from SharePoint list - https://youtu.be/8GWj6UEn-44

    Hi Devi,

The problem here is that the file shouldn't be moved anywhere in between during the flow process, simply the file should be uploaded in PowerApps by the attachment control and moved to a dataverse table by Power Automate, no SharePoint should be involved.

Do you have any other solution?

    Many thanks

    Zied

    Hi @Zrouatbi ,

Have you looked into below blog which uses PCF control for excel import in power apps.

    Hi @bipinshan ,

What I need here is extracting the data from the attached excel file in the (Attachment Control) and move the data into a dataverse table.

    Thank you

    Hi @Zrouatbi ,

I'm afraid it won't meet your needs in Power Automate. As far as I know, if you want to use the data in excel to update the content of other files in flow, the excel file should have been created, but it is currently not possible to extract the Excel data from the Power Apps attachment to create the file.

I found the relevant link, please refer to :

lo que yo haría es esa data que cargas se guarde en una ruta de Sharepoint y luego leer esa data con automate finalmente agregas el paso de Dataverse y asignas las columnas correspondientes, al agregarlo te lo va meter en un Apply to each con eso se soluciona.

Debes de tener en cuenta que esa data de información debe tener formato de tabla
