Changing the approver for a running approval request

Hello, I have a problem with the flow to change the approver while the approval flow is running.

I followed this video step by step: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2ZRguFcnIc

My flow will run, however the result is:

1. The original approver loses the ability to approve (OK)

2. The new approver does not see the option to approve (not OK)

A new record will be created in the "Request for approval" table, the owner is the new user chosen by me. However, there is no option to approve or reject in the approval menu. There is nothing on that page.

Does anyone have any ideas what can I do to make it work?

Many thanks for any advice!

I was following Tomasz' video yesterday. Unfortunately, he doesn't have enough information in the video to fully see everything he did. Point one that make that the original approver loses the ability to approve is true, as in the video he is delegating the task to someone else. I was able to set myself as an approver, but when I changed it to the real person who needed to approve the task, they said they could not see it. I haven't pursued it further yet to figure out why.

In one of the comments on the video, Tomasz said he has more detailed information in one of his blog posts.  Working with approval tasks in Dataverse • Tomasz Poszytek, Business Applications MVP.

I couldn't find the post with more information, but maybe you or someone else can find it. In the above blog post, I do remember reading something about the new approver not being able to see the approval. I got distracted and closed the window where I found it and didn't bookmark it. I haven't had time to investigate further. However, his approach seems doable for reassigning tasks and is something I will look into again when I have more time.

@TomaszPoszytek could you provide the specific link to your blog post that is related to your great video?

Hey, I suppose we spoke about it some time ago. What you may be missing is sharing the Approval record with the new assignee: Power Platform tasks reassignment - permissions • Tomasz Poszytek, Business Applications MVP
