Format time from Form to Email

Hi!

I have a flow set up to pull data from a Form and send out an email with the details. In the subject and the body I pull a date input from Form to put into the email but it does yyyy-MM-dd and I would prefer it to do MM-dd-yyyy. I know the formatDateTime expression exists but any time I try to set it up to pull the Form data in my flow it breaks it. Anyone have any insights on how to make this all work.

    @pduffy3

    Compose the Date

    A Compose actions is optional. You can insert the expression directly into another action if you prefer. I prefer to use Compose actions so I can run a test and view the outputs.

    Add a Compose action. Remember to rename your actions to keep things organized.

    Insert an Expression and use the formatDateTime() function.

    Click on the Dynamic content tab and insert the appropriate dynamic content from the Get Response details action.

    Add a comma and single quotes. In between the single quotes—enter the date format. In your case, enter:

    MM-dd-yyyy

    Note: Replace MMMM from the screenshot below with the format you'd like your date to be in.

    Hi @pduffy3 ï¼Œ

    You can change the date format after the 'Parse JSON' control, but you have to know that the code represents the title of the date problem.

    I suggest you find it in the control record of 'Get Response Details'.
